The Powersafe SPD0020 is the Line 3 panel drain in the T8 size. Blue and L3 keyed, this Powerlock-compatible socket is rated 800A, has a copper contact under silver plating, and is terminated with a cable lug on the M12 threaded post behind its flange.

Completing the 800A Set

The L3 position
Phase 3 gives every Powersafe position a key of its own, and Line 3 is the one cut into the SPD0020. It mates with a Powersafe Line 3 source; the keys on other sources will not pass. Blue is the Line 3 colour. Coupling is a bayonet movement, backed by a secondary lock that only the release key opens.

The 800A figure goes with the socket material. In Phase 3's range the 800A sockets are copper with silver plating and the T5 ones are brass with silver plating. Outside the contact, the high impact insulator is glass-free and flame retardant.

From box to panel

With inserts fitted, the connector can be fixed from the front or the rear. Phase 3 adds that field installation is done without special tools. As a drain, the SPD0020 has an O-ring at the front that the assembly guide says to check for degradation and coat periodically with a film of silicone grease; the guide also asks that the spring-loaded secondary locking pin be checked for free movement. A qualified electrician should do the installing, with local and national electrical codes observed.
