The Powersafe SPD0007 is the red Line 1 panel drain. It gives equipment a fixed, Powerlock-compatible 500A (T5) socket for the first phase: flange mounted, gasket sealed and terminated at the rear on an M12 threaded post.

Phase Connections That Cannot Be Crossed

One key per line
On a panel carrying five Powersafe sockets, each one is colour coded and mechanically keyed. The SPD0007 is the Line 1 position. Only a Powersafe L1 line source will enter it, so an incoming set of leads cannot be landed out of sequence. The mated pair is held by a secondary lock and separated with a release key.

Fitting it to the panel
Phase 3 supplies the connector fully assembled and ready for direct mounting. Four holes in the flange take the fixings and a gasket seals the joint to the panel; M6 threaded inserts are an alternative when front or rear fixing is wanted. Field installation needs no special tools, according to Phase 3.

Connecting at the rear

• Undo the M12 nut and remove the spring washer
• Slide your cable lug or terminal onto the threaded post
• Replace washer and nut; 12–14 Nm is the maximum torque
