The Powersafe SLD0010 completes the third phase of a Powerlock-compatible single pole run. Its set screw contact accepts 120mm² or 150mm² copper cable, so heavy phase leads can be terminated or re-terminated on site using a hex key rather than hydraulic crimpers.

Mechanical keying, not guesswork
Powersafe gives every line its own key and colour. The SLD0010 accepts only a Powersafe Line 3 source connector, line or panel format, which rules out crossing L3 with another phase, the neutral or earth during set-up. After it couples, a secondary lock holds it and only a release key will free it, guarding against disconnection while current is flowing.

The receiving end of the circuit
As a drain, this connector typically takes power from the source side and is not normally live once unplugged. The exposed contact is IP2X finger-proof and the body carries an IP67 rating for dust and water, a good match for generator, temporary distribution and cable assembly work in tough conditions.

Q: Is the blue Powersafe SLD0010 a neutral connector?
A: No. It is keyed to the Line 3 (L3) position, so it physically cannot mate with a Powersafe neutral or earth connector, only with an L3 source.

Q: Does the SLD0010 mate with Powerlock gear from other manufacturers?
A: Yes, as long as the key positions match. The manufacturer states Powersafe connectors work with Litton VEAM and ITT Cannon products, 400A and 660A Powerlock, and other Powerlock-style makes.

Q: Can the SLD0010 be used on 95mm² cable?
A: Yes, by fitting Powersafe reduction sleeves, which are sold separately and cover cable from 25mm² up to 95mm². The cable's overall diameter must still suit the M40A gland.
