The Powersafe SLD0007 is the red Line 1 drain in a Powerlock-compatible single pole system. A set screw contact takes 120mm² or 150mm² copper cable, letting you make up or repair heavy-duty phase leads on site with a hex key instead of a crimp tool.

Why Phase Identification Matters

One key position per line
Each Powersafe line is mechanically keyed and colour coded. This L1 drain will only couple with a Powersafe Line 1 source connector, whether line or panel mounted, so phases cannot be crossed when a three phase set is plugged up in a hurry. A secondary lock engages on coupling and is only released with a release key, which prevents the connector being pulled apart under load.

Where the drain sits in the circuit
The drain end normally receives power from the source side and is usually not live when unplugged. Its contact is finger-proof to IP2X, and the connector is IP67 rated against dust and water, suiting the demanding sites seen in power generation, cable assembly and event power distribution.

Terminating the set screw contact

• Remove 33mm of cable insulation
• Torque the set screws to 10.5 Nm minimum using a 5mm Allen bit
