The Powersafe SLS0009 supplies the second phase in a Powerlock-compatible single pole set. This white source connector has a recessed male contact, Line 2 keying and set screws that clamp 120mm² or 150mm² copper cable, so it can be fitted on site with ordinary hand tools.

Mates with one connector type
The SLS0009 carries the L2 mechanical key. It will only accept a Powersafe Line 2 drain, whether that drain is fitted to a cable or mounted on an equipment panel. Coupling engages a secondary lock, and separating the pair takes a release key, so the phase cannot be unplugged by accident under load.

The source role
Source connectors are, in Phase 3's words, usually the live end of the connection, with drains receiving it. The source therefore keeps its male contact inside a female insulator, finger-proof to IP2X while uncoupled. Once it is mated with its drain, the connection is rated IP67.

Hand-tool termination

• Strip 33mm of cable insulation
• Insert the conductor and torque the set screws to at least 10.5 Nm (5mm Allen bit)
• Refit the gland, then tighten its body and dome nut (11 Nm)
• For 25–95mm² cable, order Powersafe reduction sleeves separately
