The Powersafe SPD0009 is the Line 2 panel drain in white. Fitted to a panel, it becomes the fixed Powerlock-compatible connection point for the second phase, rated 500A (T5) and wired from behind with a cable lug on an M12 threaded post.

Second Phase, Permanently Placed

A fixed position for Line 2
With the SPD0009 on the panel, Line 2 always lands in the same place. Its L2 key takes a Powersafe Line 2 line source and turns every other connector away, while white colour coding lets an operator pick it out quickly. A secondary lock secures the source once mated, and the release key undoes it.

What arrives in the box
Phase 3 sells its panel mounts fully assembled: gasket, M12 threaded post termination, M12 nut and spring washer. The standard connector fixes through four holes on the flange, and those holes can be given M6 threaded inserts if front or rear fixing suits the enclosure better.

Three steps at the back of the panel

• Remove nut and spring washer from the post
• Seat the cable lug over the M12 thread
• Refit washer and nut, to 12–14 Nm at most

For ongoing safety, Phase 3's guide asks that drain connectors have their front O-ring inspected and lightly greased with silicone, and their secondary locking pin checked for free movement. Qualified electricians should install and maintain the connector, and the applicable local and national electrical codes must be followed. Phase 3 also notes that field installation needs no special tools.
