The Powersafe SPS0009 completes the 500A panel sources as the blue Line 3 connector. It is a Powerlock-compatible T5 source with its male contact in a female insulator, mounted by a gasketed flange and cabled through an M12 threaded post.

Keyed to Line 3 drains
Its L3 key means the SPS0009 accepts a Powersafe Line 3 line drain and blocks drains for every other position. Blue identifies Line 3 on the panel. After the bayonet turn, the secondary lock keeps the drain in place; it comes free only with the release key.

Phase 3 describes sources as usually the live end, and drains as usually receiving. Unmated, the SPS0009 offers IP2X finger-proof protection against electric shock, and once a drain is locked in, the pair is rated IP67 under EN 60529.

Steps to fit

• Use the four flange holes, gasket against the panel
• Fit M6 threaded inserts if fixing from front or rear
• Put the cable lug over the M12 thread
• Washer and nut back on, tightened to 12–14 Nm maximum

The contact is silver plated brass, which Phase 3 specifies for its 500A sockets, and the high impact insulator is flame retardant with no glass content. Because the connector is supplied fully assembled, it is ready for direct mounting to equipment, and Phase 3 notes field installation needs no special tools. Installing and looking after it is a job for a qualified electrician, observing local and national electrical codes.
