The Powersafe SPD0010 completes the three phases as the blue Line 3 panel drain. This Powerlock-compatible T5 socket carries a 500A rating, bolts to the panel by its flange, and takes its cable on an M12 threaded post at the rear.

The Third Phase on the Panel

Keyed and coloured for L3
Line 3 gets its own mechanical key on the SPD0010, so the only line connector that will enter it is a Powersafe Line 3 source. Blue colour coding backs the key up visually. After the bayonet turn, secondary locking holds the pair together until someone uses the release key.

Built for fixed equipment
Phase 3 lists power distribution boxes, switchgear, busbars, batteries and generators among the equipment its panel mount sockets are made for. The SPD0010 follows that pattern: four fixing holes on the flange, a gasket that lets it be secured watertight, and the option of M6 threaded inserts in the flange holes where the panel calls for front or rear fixing.

Terminating the post

• Take off the M12 nut and its spring washer
• Place the lugged cable on the threaded post
• Replace both and tighten, 12–14 Nm maximum

No special tools are needed for field installation, according to Phase 3. Its assembly guide also sets out routine checks for drains: look over the front O-ring and keep a light film of silicone grease on it, and confirm the spring-loaded secondary locking pin moves freely. Installation is work for a qualified electrician, done in line with local and national electrical codes.
