The Powersafe SLS0051 is a red Line 1 source connector with a crimp contact for 185mm² copper cable. Part of a Powerlock-compatible single pole system rated 500A, it delivers the first phase through a shielded male contact and an L1-keyed, locking coupling.

Red identifies this connector at a glance, and the L1 mechanical key enforces it. The SLS0051 will only go into a Powersafe Line 1 drain, line or panel mounted, so phases stay in order no matter who plugs the set up. Once seated, a secondary lock secures the coupling and a release key is required to free it.

Designed to be the live end
According to Phase 3, the source is usually the live end of a Powersafe connection and the drain usually is not. That is the reason its male contact is set back behind a female insulator, where it stays IP2X finger-proof while unplugged. The mated connection is IP67 rated.

Crimp termination on 185mm²

• Expose 43mm of conductor
• Fit the ME 37 hexagonal die to a hydraulic crimper (the manual HT 131-C, or the cordless B 131-C)
• Apply three crimps, evenly spaced along the contact
• Tighten gland body and dome nut: 11 Nm

For copper conductors only. Phase 3 requires qualified electricians for installation, inspection and maintenance, to local and national electrical codes, and says a cable tensile test should confirm the crimp.
