The Powersafe SLS0049 is the green Earth source connector for 185mm² copper cable in a Powerlock-compatible single pole system. It pairs a crimped male contact with a finger-proof female insulator, giving the supply end of the earth a permanent termination.

What "source" means
Phase 3 makes every Powersafe connector as a source or a drain. The source is the half with the male contact, set inside a female insulator that keeps it IP2X finger-proof while uncoupled; it is usually the live end, while the drain receives the connection. The SLS0049 is the Earth-keyed source, so it fits a Powersafe Earth drain, on a lead or on a panel, and no phase or neutral connector.

Locked until released
Coupling the SLS0049 to its drain trips a secondary locking mechanism. The connection then stays made until a release key is used, which guards against the earth being disconnected by accident while the system is energised.
