The Powersafe SLS0030 is the Line 3 source connector for 300mm² copper cable and the last piece of an 800A, Powerlock-compatible three phase supply set. It is blue, carries the L3 key and has a crimp-fitted male contact inside a finger-proof insulator.

Three Things That Decide the Fit

1. The key: Line 3
Blue is used for Line 3 on this connector, not neutral. The L3 key lets it mate with a Powersafe Line 3 drain, cable mounted or in a panel, and stops it entering anything else. A secondary lock closes on mating and opens with the release key.

2. The gender: source
A source carries the male contact, and Phase 3 says this half is usually the live one. The SLS0030's contact is IP2X finger-proof until it is mated, and the mated connection is rated IP67.

3. The cable: 300mm², 22–32mm OD
The crimp contact is for 300mm² copper cable, the largest size Powersafe line connectors take, and the M40B gland clamps 22–32mm. Check your cable's overall diameter against the gland before ordering.

Crimp and assemble

• Strip to 43mm of exposed conductor
• Crimp with the ME 60 hexagonal die, three times, evenly spaced
• Hydraulic tools listed by Phase 3: HT 131-C, B 131-C
• Close the gland: 11 Nm for the body and for the dome nut

Copper is the required conductor material. Phase 3 recommends tensile testing the crimp, and says installing, inspecting and maintaining the product is a job for qualified electricians, done to the electrical codes that apply locally and nationally.
