The Powersafe SPS0017 is the red Line 1 panel source in the T8 rating of 800A. Powerlock-compatible and L1 keyed, it has a copper male contact plated with silver, set in a female insulator, and the supply cable is lugged to its M12 post.

Line 1, Fixed in Place

One phase, one key
Powersafe connectors are keyed by position, and the SPS0017 takes the L1 key. A Powersafe Line 1 line drain will couple with it; Earth, Neutral, L2 and L3 drains will not. Red identifies Line 1. Bayonet coupling is followed by a secondary lock, and the release key is the only way to undo it.

Live-end protection
Phase 3 explains that the live end of a connection is normally the source, with the drain on the receiving side. Without a drain fitted, the SPS0017 is rated IP2X finger-proof against electric shock; with one locked in, the joint is IP67 to EN 60529.
