The Powersafe SLD0017 puts Line 1 of a Powerlock-compatible single pole set onto 240mm² copper cable. This red 800A drain uses a hydraulically crimped contact, a fixed termination suited to the heaviest phase leads in the Powersafe range.

High Current on the Right Phase

Thirty amps, twenty-nine times over
The 800A figure comes from the contact itself. Phase 3 arranges 29 transfer bridges around it and rates each at 30A, a combined 870A per contact. 800A connectors are the ones Phase 3 matches to 240mm² and 300mm² cable, and the continuous current available in service remains subject to the cable and the environment.

L1 stays L1
With five connectors in a three phase set, mechanical keying does the sorting. The SLD0017 fits a Powersafe Line 1 source connector and nothing else, whether that source is on a cable or a panel. Coupling trips a secondary lock, and it takes a release key to undo it, which protects against a phase being disconnected on load. The drain is ordinarily the dead end when uncoupled.

From bare cable to finished connector

• Leave 43mm of conductor showing after stripping
• Die set: ME 48 hexagonal, run in a hydraulic crimper (HT 131-C manual, or cordless B 131-C)
• Three crimps, spaced equally down the contact
• Gland body and dome nut finished at 11 Nm
