The Powersafe SLD0019 is the Line 2 drain for 240mm² copper cable in the 800A Powersafe series, a Powerlock-compatible single pole connector. A crimped contact and keyed white insulator keep the second phase secure and correctly identified.

A Powersafe contact carries current through 29 transfer bridges. At 30A apiece that totals 870A, the basis of the 800A maximum continuous rating. Phase 3 fits 800A connectors to 240mm² and 300mm² cable; what a given lead will carry continuously depends on its cable and operating environment.

No crossed phases
The SLD0019 has its own L2 key, so the only connector it will accept is a Powersafe Line 2 source, either in-line or panel mounted. The pair then locks: a secondary mechanism holds it and a release key is required to part it, preventing an unplanned break under load. In normal use the drain is the receiving side and carries no power once separated.

Crimp procedure in brief

• Strip until 43mm of conductor is exposed
• Select the ME 48 die; Phase 3 lists the HT 131-C and B 131-C hydraulic crimp tools
• Crimp in three places, equally spaced on the contact
• Fit the gland and bring body and dome nut up to 11 Nm
