The Tesla TMCBO440M is a 4 Pole 40A 6kA 30mA Type A RCBO built to AS/NZS 61009.1 — the highest-rated 4-pole RCBO in the Tesla range. It combines residual current (earth leakage) and overcurrent (circuit breaker) protection across all four conductors — 3P+N switched neutral — in a single 72mm DIN rail device. Specified as the main incomer RCBO on large three-phase distribution boards, for direct combined protection of the largest three-phase industrial plant, and on major Australian mining and infrastructure installations where no lower RCBO rating is sufficient.

As a main incomer RCBO, it protects large three-phase distribution boards at the incoming supply point where mandatory combined RCD and MCB protection is required. As a direct equipment RCBO, it handles the largest three-phase industrial plant, heavy compressors, and high-draw process machinery where RCD compliance is required alongside overcurrent protection.

The 3P+N switched neutral configuration ensures complete isolation of all four conductors including neutral on trip — a non-negotiable requirement on regulated Australian mining and heavy industrial installations.
