The Tesla LNL35C25 is a 25 amp three pole plus neutral RCBO rated 10kA. It combines residual current and overcurrent protection for a 400/415V circuit into a body just 54mm across, with the neutral switched rather than merely linked.

Why Three Modules Matters on a Three Phase Board

Protecting a three phase circuit with earth leakage detection normally costs four module positions. The LNL35 does it in three. Tesla's dimension drawing puts the body at 54mm across, and on a distribution board where every position is spoken for, reclaiming a module per protected circuit adds up quickly across a full row.

The neutral is switched, not linked. On a 3P+N device that distinction decides whether the neutral conductor is actually isolated when the device opens, or whether it stays connected while only the phases break. Tesla specifies 3P+N (Switched) for this range.

The Flying Neutral Lead

Rather than terminating the neutral through the body, this range brings it out on a flying lead 80cm long. That length gives room to reach a neutral bar positioned anywhere in the enclosure without adding a joint, which is useful in boards where the neutral bar is not adjacent to the rail.

Terminal capacity is cables up to 25mm², and the device mounts on standard 35mm DIN rail. The pictured arrangement brings the three phases in at the bottom and out at the top, with the neutral lead at the end of the body.

Electronic Operation and Fault Performance

Tesla lists this as an electronic type device with a C tripping curve, rated 400/415V AC at 50/60Hz. Rated residual making and breaking capacity is 2000A, and the range carries Energy Limiting Class 3, the highest classification the standard defines for restricting let-through energy during a short circuit.

Service life is quoted at 10,000 electrical operations and 30,000 mechanical operations. The range is built to IEC/EN AS/NZS 61009-1, IEC 61009-2-2 and AS/NZS 61009.1. Supply is a box of 1, outer of 20.
