It is mains powered with a rechargeable battery backup and certified to Australian and New Zealand standards.

The system receives its trigger over a 433.92MHz RF wireless connection from interconnected Red Smoke alarms, linking with up to 20 devices over a range of 30m indoors in line of sight or up to 100m in free field. Because the connection is wireless, no interconnect cabling is required between the alarms and the RHIS.

Flexible Placement

The strobe light can be wall-mounted or free-standing to suit the room, while the vibrating pad is designed to sit under a pillow, mattress or seat cushion so it can be felt by a sleeping or seated person. The system runs on 240V AC mains with a rechargeable Ni-MH battery backup, and each unit has a button for testing and hush.
