The Red Smoke GTC-2968X is a 240V AC mains-powered carbon monoxide alarm with a 3V rechargeable lithium backup battery rated for 10 years, so protection continues during a power failure. Mains Power with Rechargeable Backup

Running on 220–240V AC mains, the GTC-2968X maintains continuous carbon monoxide monitoring, while its 3V rechargeable lithium battery provides backup during mains failure. The backup is rated for 10 years, and the alarm signals a low-battery condition at 7.2V and an interconnect voltage of 9V, so the system stays reliable over its service life.

The GTC-2968X can be hardwired and interconnected with up to 40 compatible devices. When one unit detects carbon monoxide, the interconnected alarms respond together, providing warning throughout a building rather than only at the point of detection.
