The Red Smoke RHA10RF is a battery-powered heat alarm with a sealed 10-year lithium battery and RF wireless interconnect, so multiple alarms can be linked without running interconnect cabling. The RHA10RF links to other Red Smoke RF alarms over a 433.92MHz wireless connection, so when one unit activates, all interconnected alarms sound together, without the need to run interconnect wiring between them. It links with up to 20 devices over a range of 30m indoors in line of sight, or up to 100m in free field, making it ideal for retrofits and existing homes where cabling would be difficult.

Heat Detection for Nuisance-Prone Areas

Unlike a smoke alarm, the RHA10RF responds to heat rather than smoke, using a thermistor that activates when the temperature reaches 55–59°C. This makes it the right choice for kitchens, garages, laundries and similar spaces where cooking fumes, dust or steam would cause a smoke alarm to false-trigger. Its response time is approximately 1 second once the activation temperature is reached.

A Decade of Sealed Power

The alarm is powered by a sealed 3V lithium battery rated for 10 years, so there are no annual battery changes and no risk of a flat or removed battery. It draws under 100mA at 3V in operation and signals a low-battery condition with a red LED. A single button provides both testing and a hush function to temporarily silence nuisance alarms.
