The Red Smoke R10 is a single-point photoelectric smoke alarm powered by a sealed 10-year lithium battery. It is not interconnectable: when it detects smoke, only this alarm sounds. Important: Check You Need a Stand-Alone Alarm

Inter-connected alarms are required by law in some jurisdictions, including Queensland, where leased and sold dwellings must have photoelectric, interconnected alarms in all bedrooms, connecting hallways and on each storey. The R10 is a stand-alone alarm and will not satisfy an interconnect requirement on its own. Simple, Long-Life Protection

With a sealed 10-year lithium battery there is no wiring to run and no battery to replace over its life – install it, test it, and it is ready to protect. The photoelectric sensor responds well to slow, smouldering fires, and the test/hush button lets you silence a nuisance alarm for around 10 minutes. Its 140mm diameter makes it a tidy drop-in when replacing an older or expired alarm of a similar size.

Q: Can the Red Smoke R10 be interconnected with other alarms?
A: No. The R10 is a stand-alone alarm and cannot be interconnected by wire or wirelessly. When it detects smoke, only this alarm sounds. For interconnected coverage, use the wireless R10RF.
