Why the D Curve

A D curve breaker tolerates inrush currents of roughly 10 to 20 times its rated current before magnetic tripping, against 5 to 10 times for a C curve. That headroom keeps the circuit live through the brief current spike when motors, transformers, welders and large switch-mode supplies energise. Choose the ADD925T where a C curve RCBO nuisance-trips on start-up but you still need 30 mA earth leakage protection with the neutral switched.

1P+N Protection, Single Module

The ADD925T switches and protects both the active and the neutral conductor. Traditionally that meant a two-module device, but this slimline design does it in one 17.7 mm module, height 85 mm and depth 70 mm, so it fits standard flush and surface switchboards while freeing rail space. The screw top terminal and BIconnect bottom terminal align it with the rest of a Hager modular assembly.

Type A Earth Leakage Sensing

As a Type A RCBO the ADD925T detects both sinusoidal AC earth leakage and pulsating DC earth leakage, unlike Type AC which detects only the AC component. With inverters, variable speed drives and switch mode supplies now common on Australian final circuits, Type A is the practical baseline. It trips at a rated residual current of 30 mA.
