Description

32 A single pole RCBO in one module.

The Hager ADC232T combines overload, short circuit and earth leakage protection for a 32 A final circuit in a single 17.8 mm module. It adds full RCBO protection to a larger circuit on an existing board without claiming a second module of rail.

Key Features

  • Hager ADC232T single pole RCBO, 1 module (17.8 mm) wide
  • 32 A rated current, C curve tripping characteristic
  • 30 mA rated residual operating current, Type A
  • 6 kA rated short circuit breaking capacity (Icn, IEC 60898-1)
  • 230 - 240 V AC rated operational voltage, 50 - 60 Hz
  • Rated impulse withstand voltage 4 kV, energy limitation class 3
  • Screw terminal top, BIconnect bottom connection
  • Accepts 1 - 25 mm² solid or 1 - 16 mm² flexible conductors
  • Mounts on 35 mm DIN rail, IP20 rated
  • 10,000 mechanical operations, 2,000 electrical cycles
  • Power dissipation 9.90 W at rated current
  • Manufactured to EN 61009-1, RoHS conform

Combined Protection, Single Module

One ADC232T does the work of a separate MCB and RCD, guarding a 32 A circuit against overload, short circuit and earth leakage in just 17.8 mm of DIN rail. Height is 115 mm and depth 70 mm, so it fits standard flush and surface switchboards. The screw top terminal and BIconnect bottom terminal line it up with the rest of a Hager modular assembly for a tidy fit-off.

32 A for Larger Final Circuits

The 32 A C curve rating suits higher-current final subcircuits: dedicated appliance feeds, larger power circuits and general-purpose loads without heavy start-up surge. The C curve tolerates the ordinary inrush of everyday equipment while tripping promptly on a genuine overload or short circuit.

Type A Sensing for Electronic Loads

Type A residual current devices detect sinusoidal AC earth leakage and pulsating DC earth leakage; Type AC devices detect only the former. As switch mode power supplies, LED drivers, inverters and speed controllers spread through Australian homes and workplaces, Type A has become the practical baseline for final subcircuit protection. The ADC232T trips at 30 mA residual current.

Rated for Australian Conditions

Rated operational voltage is 230 - 240 V at 50 - 60 Hz, matching the Australian supply. Hager publishes a full derating curve: 32 A at 30 °C ambient, 30.30 A at 40 °C and 26.90 A at 60 °C, which matters in roof spaces, plant rooms and unventilated meter boxes where board temperatures climb past nameplate assumptions. Storage and transport range is -40 to 70 °C, and the device is rated to 2000 m altitude.

Q: Is the Hager ADC232T single pole or 1P+N?
A: It is a 1 pole device with one protected pole in a single 17.8 mm module, protecting the active conductor. If you need neutral switching at the same 32 A rating, look at the 1P+N Hager ADC932T.

Q: What is the breaking capacity of the ADC232T?
A: It has a rated short circuit breaking capacity of 6 kA (Icn, IEC 60898-1). Where the prospective fault current at the board exceeds 6 kA, use the 10 kA ADC232B instead.

Q: What cable sizes do the ADC232T terminals take?
A: The combined input and output screw terminals accept 1 - 25 mm² solid or 1 - 16 mm² flexible conductors. The input only screw terminal accepts 1 - 16 mm² solid or 1 - 10 mm² flexible.
