The SAL Frisbee SL2104/22TC/DP is a 12W/18W dual-power non-dimmable LED oyster light with selectable colour temperature (3000K / 4000K / 6000K), a white opal polycarbonate diffuser, and IP44 moisture rating — designed for residential and commercial ceiling installations in living areas, bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms, laundries, and commercial spaces. At just 21mm high, the ultra-low profile Frisbee sits nearly flush with the ceiling. The 220mm diameter fitting with a flexible 120–200mm cut-out range installs as a recessed fitting in an existing ceiling opening or as a surface mount fitting on a flat ceiling — the mid-size option in the Frisbee SL2104TC range, suited to medium rooms and standard bathroom ceilings.

Dual Power — 12W or 18W Selectable at Installation

The SL2104/22TC/DP's built-in driver lets the installer select either 12W economy or 18W full output before energising. At 18W full output, the fitting delivers up to 1350 lm at 4000K across a 110° wide beam — suited to medium bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas. Economy 12W mode reduces running cost while maintaining the same 110° wide beam distribution. This is a fixed power selection at installation, not continuous dimming — the DP driver does not support wall dimmer connection. The SL2104TC/DP range covers three sizes. The SL2104/18TC/DP is 8W/12W with a 180mm diameter (780/840/840 lm, 21mm high, 80–100mm cut-out) — suited to hallways, ensuites, and smaller rooms. The SL2104/22TC/DP (this product) is 12W/18W with a 220mm diameter (1260/1350/1350 lm, 21mm high, 120–200mm cut-out) — suited to medium rooms and bathrooms. The SL2104/30TC/DP is 18W/25W with a 300mm diameter (1875/2000/2000 lm, 25mm high, 150–270mm cut-out) — suited to larger living areas. All three share the same IP44 rating, selectable CCT, dual-power driver, non-dimmable construction, and double insulation.

Q: Can I install the Frisbee SL2104/22TC/DP over my old ceiling rose cut-out?
A: If your existing ceiling opening is between 120mm and 200mm diameter, yes — the Frisbee will recess into the opening cleanly. For openings smaller than 120mm (e.g. old bayonet rose at 70–80mm), use the SL2104/18TC/DP. For openings larger than 200mm up to 270mm, use the SL2104/30TC/DP. Alternatively, the 22TC/DP can be surface mounted on a flat ceiling with no cut-out required.

Q: Is the Frisbee suitable for bathrooms?
A: Yes — IP44 meets the requirements for Zone 2 and general areas in Australian bathrooms under AS/NZS 3000. Confirm the specific zone requirements with your licensed electrician prior to installation.

Q: Can I connect this to a wall dimmer?
A: No — the DP variant has an integral non-dimmable dual-power driver. Connecting to a wall dimmer will cause flicker, buzzing, or driver damage. This fitting is for switched (non-dimming) circuits only.
