The Red Smoke RACP is a wireless wall controller for RF-enabled Red smoke alarms. From one wall-mounted button you can silence nuisance alarms, run a system test, locate which alarm triggered, and diagnose past events with the Memory "D" feature – no climbing up to the ceiling. The remote lifts off its magnetic base for use anywhere in the home.

RF Alarms Only – Check Compatibility

The RACP is a radio-frequency controller and works only with RF-enabled Red alarms, not directly with hardwired interconnect. RF wireless alarms such as the R10RF and R10RFP pair with it directly. To use it with 240V hardwired alarms (R240, R240RC, R240P, RSDUALP, RSDUALPB, RFMDUAL), each alarm must first be fitted with an RWB2 wireless base or an RFMOD module to join the RF network.

The Memory "D" Advantage

Memory "D" is the RACP's standout feature: it interrogates the alarm network for the last 14 days of events, so you can tell whether an alarm sounded from smoke, a fault, or a low battery. One "D" tone means low battery, two means a fault, and three means the alarm was triggered. It is a remote for the homeowner and a fault-finder for the electrician. Memory "D" works with Red Original alarms from batch code 150525 and Red Professional alarms from batch code 150725; the Test, Locate, Hush and Silence functions work across the wider Red range.

Q: How long does the Red Smoke RACP battery last, and can it be replaced?
A: It runs on a replaceable CR2450 lithium battery that lasts approximately two years. A green LED flashing every four seconds indicates the battery needs replacing.

Q: Does the RACP work with hardwired 240V smoke alarms?
A: Only indirectly. The RACP controls RF-enabled alarms; to include a hardwired 240V alarm, fit it with an RWB2 base or RFMOD module so it can join the RF network. RF alarms like the R10RF and R10RFP connect directly.

Q: How many alarms can the Red Smoke RACP control?
A: Up to 40 Red RF smoke alarms, communicating wirelessly at 433.92 MHz over 30m indoors (line of sight) or 100m in free field.
