The Red Smoke RWB2 is a wireless mounting base for the R240 and R240RC 240V smoke alarms. Fit the alarm to this base and it links by radio to other Red alarms – including the R10RF wireless alarm – so a trigger on one sounds them all, with no interconnect cable to run between them.

Wireless Interconnect, No Extra Cabling

Running interconnect cable between existing 240V alarms is disruptive. The RWB2 avoids it: mount an R240 or R240RC on the base and the alarms link by radio on 433.92 MHz instead, with 30m line-of-sight indoors and 100m in free field. It carries its own non-replaceable 3V lithium battery so the wireless link keeps working through a mains outage.

Installer-Friendly

The base wires through standard screw terminals for active, neutral, earth loop and interconnect, each taking two 1.5mm² conductors. Two side knockouts suit conduit on a surface mount, and an internal knockout suits a ceiling mount. With the RWB2 fitted, the Red Smoke wireless controller (RAC or RACP) can also test, locate and silence the alarms from a wall point.
