Plenty of Ways, Neatly Housed
A load centre keeps circuit protection grouped, labelled and accessible in one enclosure. With twelve module spaces, the DB12 has the capacity for a full distribution job, accepting standard DIN-rail devices so an electrician can populate it with the right mix of MCBs and RCBOs. It suits larger sub-distribution in sheds, workshops, granny flats and small commercial spaces.
Indoor-Rated Construction
Moulded from PCA18 virgin-grade plastic, the DB12 is rated IP40, offering protection against solid objects but not water, so it is intended for indoor, dry locations. For outdoor or wash-down areas, choose a weatherproof IP-rated board instead. As a GEN3 product it is covered by Australian/NZ approval or compliance certificates and is interchangeable with other major brands.
Q: How many devices does the GEN3 DB12 hold?
A: It accommodates up to twelve single-module DIN-rail devices such as MCBs. Wider devices, including some RCBOs, take more than one module, so the practical count can be fewer than twelve.
Q: What is the difference between the DB12, DB8 and DB6?
A: Capacity. The DB12 takes up to twelve single-module DIN devices, the DB8 up to eight, and the DB6 up to six. All three are surface-mount, indoor-rated GEN3 load centres.
Q: Can the GEN3 DB12 be installed outdoors?
A: No. It is rated IP40 for indoor, dry locations. For outdoor or wash-down environments, use a weatherproof enclosure with a higher IP rating.
