GEN3 9 Way Pole Weatherproof Switchboard Load Centre RCBO MCB Din Rail IP65
Electrotraders USPs
Description
Weatherproof distribution with room to spare.
The GEN3 DB9-IP66 is a nine-module weatherproof switchboard and load centre, sealed to IP66 so it can house DIN-rail circuit protection such as MCBs and RCBOs in exposed locations. Made from durable PCA18 plastic, it suits larger outdoor sub-boards, pump sheds, rural and coastal installations, wash-down areas and any spot where a standard indoor board would not survive.
Key Features
- Weatherproof surface-mount switchboard / load centre
- IP66 sealed enclosure – dust-tight and protected against high-pressure water jets
- Takes up to 9 single-module DIN-rail devices (typically 8–9 in practice)
- Standard DIN rail for quick device mounting
- Durable PCA18 virgin-grade plastic (no regrind)
- Sealed, gasketed lid for outdoor and wash-down use
- Compact body, approximately 200mm × 220mm × 100mm
- Australian/NZ approval or compliance certificates held
- Interchangeable with other major brands

Built for Exposed Locations
Unlike a standard indoor load centre, the DB9-IP66 is sealed to IP66, meaning it is dust-tight and withstands high-pressure water jets from any direction. With space for up to nine single-module devices, it gives a little more capacity than a six-way weatherproof board, suiting larger outdoor distribution and circuit protection in rural, coastal and wash-down environments.
Tidy, Compliant Distribution
The board accepts standard DIN-rail devices, so an electrician can populate it with the right mix of MCBs and RCBOs for the job, behind a sealed gasketed lid. Moulded from PCA18 virgin-grade plastic, it is covered by Australian/NZ approval or compliance certificates and is interchangeable with other major brands.
Q: What does the IP66 rating on the GEN3 DB9-IP66 mean?
A: IP66 means the enclosure is completely dust-tight and protected against high-pressure water jets, making it suitable for outdoor and wash-down installations.
Q: How many devices does the DB9-IP66 hold?
A: It takes up to nine single-module DIN-rail devices such as MCBs. Wider devices, including some RCBOs and main switches, occupy more than one module, so the practical count is often eight to nine.
Q: What is the difference between the DB9-IP66 and the DB6-IP66?
A: Capacity. The DB9-IP66 takes up to nine single-module devices, while the DB6-IP66 takes up to six. Both are sealed IP66 weatherproof boards for outdoor use.
