Description
More ways for your circuit protection.
The GEN3 DB8 is an eight-module surface-mount switchboard and load centre, built to house DIN-rail circuit protection such as MCBs and RCBOs. Made from durable PCA18 plastic and rated for indoor use, it is a tidy, cost-effective distribution board for sub-boards, sheds, granny flats, light commercial fit-outs and machinery control points that need a little more capacity than a six-way board.

Simple, Tidy Distribution
A load centre keeps circuit protection grouped, labelled and accessible in one enclosure. The DB8 mounts to the surface of a wall and accepts standard DIN-rail devices, so an electrician can populate it with the right mix of MCBs and RCBOs for the job. Its eight-module width suits sub-distribution in sheds, garages, granny flats and small commercial spaces, or as a local control board for machinery.
Indoor-Rated Construction
Moulded from PCA18 virgin-grade plastic, the DB8 is intended for indoor, dry locations and is not weatherproof. For outdoor or wash-down areas, choose a weatherproof IP-rated enclosure instead. As a GEN3 product it is covered by Australian/NZ approval or compliance certificates and is interchangeable with other major brands.
Q: How many devices does the GEN3 DB8 hold?
A: It accommodates up to eight single-module DIN-rail devices such as MCBs. Wider devices, including some RCBOs, take more than one module, so the practical count can be fewer than eight.
Q: What is the difference between the DB8 and the DB6?
A: Capacity. The DB8 takes up to eight single-module DIN devices, while the DB6 takes up to six. Both are surface-mount, indoor-rated GEN3 load centres.
Q: Can the GEN3 DB8 be installed outdoors?
A: No. It is rated for indoor, dry locations. For outdoor or wash-down environments, use a weatherproof enclosure with a higher IP rating.
