Electrotraders USPs
Description
Weatherproof circuit protection for the outdoors.
The GEN3 DB6-IP66 is a six-module weatherproof switchboard and load centre, sealed to IP66 so it can house DIN-rail circuit protection such as MCBs and RCBOs in exposed locations. Made from durable PCA18 plastic, it suits outdoor sub-boards, pump sheds, rural installations, wash-down areas and any spot where a standard indoor board would not survive.

Built for Exposed Locations
Unlike a standard indoor load centre, the DB6-IP66 is sealed to IP66, meaning it is dust-tight and withstands high-pressure water jets from any direction. That makes it the right choice for distribution and circuit protection in outdoor, rural, coastal and wash-down environments where moisture and dust would quickly compromise an open indoor board.
Tidy, Compliant Distribution
The board accepts standard DIN-rail devices, so an electrician can populate it with the right mix of MCBs and RCBOs for the job, behind a sealed gasketed lid. Moulded from PCA18 virgin-grade plastic, it is covered by Australian/NZ approval or compliance certificates and is interchangeable with other major brands.
Q: What does the IP66 rating on the GEN3 DB6-IP66 mean?
A: IP66 means the enclosure is completely dust-tight and protected against high-pressure water jets, making it suitable for outdoor and wash-down installations.
Q: How many devices does the DB6-IP66 hold?
A: It accommodates up to six single-module DIN-rail devices such as MCBs. Wider devices, including some RCBOs, take more than one module, so the practical count can be fewer than six.
Q: What is the difference between the DB6-IP66 and the standard DB6?
A: The IP rating. The DB6-IP66 is a sealed IP66 weatherproof board for outdoor use, while the standard DB6 is an indoor-rated board for dry locations.
