Description
Three 10mm² actives, one 4mm² earth, 0.6/1kV.
Three 10mm² conductors and an earth take up real space when run individually. The APEC MVM010E03 brings red, white and blue 10mm² actives and a 4mm² green/yellow earth together inside one orange 0.6/1kV sheath to AS/NZS 5000.1, and you only buy the metres the job uses.
Key Features:
- Orange circular PVC/PVC cable, 3C+E
- Three annealed copper actives, each 10mm²
- Annealed copper earth of 4mm²
- 0.6/1kV voltage class to AS/NZS 5000.1
- Every core insulated with V90 PVC, 1.0mm average
- PVC 5V90 sheath, 1.8mm average thickness
- 90°C continuous conductor operating temperature
- Actives red, white and blue; earth green/yellow
- Approx. overall diameter 17.4mm
- Approx. 55.0kg per 100m
- Cut to the metre count you specify

Why It Matters
Built for the 0.6/1kV Class
APEC lists the MVM010E03 in its 0.6/1kV three core and earth table under AS/NZS 5000.1. Each of the four cores is insulated with 1.0mm of V90 PVC, and the 5V90 orange sheath averages 1.8mm, giving a cable roughly 17.4mm in diameter. At around 55.0kg per 100 metres, it is a substantial cable to pull, support and terminate, so allow for its weight and diameter when planning cable routes, supports and gland or entry sizes.
Check the 4mm² Earth
The earth in this cable is 4mm², smaller than the three 10mm² actives, though it carries the same 1.0mm insulation. This is APEC's specified construction for the code, and the earth size should be confirmed against your circuit's protective earthing requirements before the cable is ordered.
Per-Metre Supply for Heavy Cable
With a cable this heavy, buying exactly what the run needs avoids paying for and storing excess. Enter 20 metres, 45 metres or your measured length, and that is the quantity cut and sent. AS/NZS 3008.1.1 sets out how to check 10mm² conductors against load and voltage drop, and a licensed electrician must install, connect and test it so that it complies with AS/NZS 3000.
Q: Which cores make up APEC MVM010E03?
A: There are four: three 10mm² actives in red, white and blue, and one 4mm² green/yellow earth.
Q: What standard is APEC MVM010E03 made to?
A: APEC produces it to AS/NZS 5000.1. Its voltage class is 0.6/1kV and the conductors are rated for 90°C in continuous service.
Q: Can I order MVM010E03 by the metre?
A: Yes. Enter the length you need, and the cable is cut to that number of metres.
