The SAL GU10LA750TC is a 3/5/7W dimmable GU10 LED lamp with settings allowing you to choose between Cool White, Warm White and Daylight. Designed as a direct retrofit replacement for 50W halogen GU10 lamps in Australian residential and commercial downlight, track, and spotlight fittings. A frosted polycarbonate lens over a poly-covered aluminium heat-sink body, an integral trailing-edge dimmable LED driver delivering 700 lumens at a focused 60° beam angle, and a standard GU10 bi-pin twist-lock base — it drops into any existing GU10 socket with no wiring changes required.

Three kinds of white — the Classic Halogen Replacement

The GU10LA750TC allows an easy switch between Cool, Warm and White light. The warm white colour temperature that most closely matches traditional halogen GU10 lamps and incandescent globes. 3000K produces the warm, inviting glow that Australian homeowners and hospitality operators know from decades of halogen downlights — suited to living areas, dining rooms, bedrooms, restaurants, cafes, and any interior where a soft, relaxing ambience is the goal. It is the most popular for residential downlight retrofits across Australia, and the standard warm CCT for hospitality venue lighting from Brisbane Queenslanders to Melbourne terraces. For bathrooms or area where you want a stronger light simply flick the setting to Cool White (4000K) or Daylight (6500K).

60° beam — focused downlight performance.

The 60° beam angle delivers a focused, directional light cone suited to recessed downlights and track spotlight applications. Unlike wide-beam lamps designed for omnidirectional ambient lighting, the 60° beam directs light downward and forward — ideal for task illumination on kitchen benchtops, highlighting artwork, lighting retail merchandise, and creating defined pools of light in accent and feature lighting layouts. At a standard 2.4m ceiling height, a 60° beam produces a floor illumination circle of approximately 1.4–1.7m diameter per lamp.

Trailing-edge dimmable — smooth and compatible with modern Australian dimmers.

The integral trailing-edge dimmable driver works with most current Australian LED-rated trailing-edge wall dimmers, including Clipsal Iconic Dimmable, HPM, Mercator, and Legrand. Trailing-edge dimming eliminates the flicker and audible buzz associated with older leading-edge (halogen) dimmers. Always confirm your dimmer is a trailing-edge LED-rated type — older leading-edge incandescent/halogen dimmers may cause flicker, buzzing, or refusal to dim below 30%. Also check the dimmer's minimum LED load rating, particularly when running a small number of 9W lamps on a single dimmer circuit.

Q: Will the GU10LA750TC fit my existing downlight fitting?
A: If your existing fitting accepts a standard GU10 bi-pin twist-lock lamp — the most common lamp base in Australian recessed halogen and LED downlight fittings — yes. Switch off the circuit, twist the existing lamp anti-clockwise to remove, insert the GU10LA750TC, and twist clockwise to lock. No tools or wiring changes required for lamp replacement.

Q: Can I use this lamp in a bathroom or outdoor fitting?
A: SAL does not publish an IP rating for the GU10LA750WW — treat it as a standard interior dry-location lamp. Do not install in wet zones or outdoor exposed fittings without confirming the IP rating of both the lamp and the fitting. For bathroom downlight applications, use an IP65-rated GU10 downlight fitting with an appropriately rated lamp.
