Where a Mechanical Timer Still Wins

Nothing to program, nothing to learn
Every switching time is visible on the dial. Segments pushed one way switch the load on, the other way off, at a resolution of 15 minutes. Anyone who opens the board can read the schedule at a glance and change it with a fingertip. Hager rates the mechanism to a minimum of 50,000 operating cycles at nominal AC1 load.

Load types Hager specifies
The EHN010 is intended for lighting, ventilation, fountains and advertising signage in closed, dry rooms. Hager publishes maximum loads by lamp type: 1000W incandescent or halogen, 300W for LED lamps above 2W, 30W for LED lamps at 2W or under, 600W for fluorescent with electronic ballast, and 150W compact fluorescent. Note the lower LED figures, since LED drivers present a very different inrush to a filament lamp.

• No power reserve. After a supply interruption the time must be reset. The sister model EHN011 carries a 120 hour reserve if that matters.
• Timekeeping accuracy is up to plus or minus 1 second per day.

A: No. The EHN010 has no power reserve, so the clock stops during an outage and needs resetting. Choose the EHN011 if you need a 120 hour reserve.
