The ESC426S is a Humfree contactor, Hager's low-noise design that removes the mains-frequency hum standard AC contactors make. That matters wherever the switchboard sits near people – apartments, offices, consulting rooms, hospitality spaces and homes – and it shows in the numbers: inrush power is just 3.2VA, a fraction of a standard 4-pole contactor. With four normally closed contacts, the ESC426S holds its four circuits connected while the coil is at rest and opens them all together when 230V AC energises the coil. That inverted logic suits shutdown, load-shedding and fail-safe control across multiple circuits at once – for example dropping several loads on a single command – rather than switching them on. Terminals accept rigid conductors up to 10mm² at a 1.2Nm tightening torque.

Despite four poles, the ESC426S takes just two DIN modules (35.75mm wide, 83mm high, 60mm deep) on standard 35mm rail.
