Why the Tesla RS-10-TB Socket Makes Lead-Making Easier

The socket end of a made-up lead
An extension lead needs a plug on one end and a socket on the other. The RS-10-TB is that socket end — a rewireable flexible cord extension socket that accepts an appliance's 3 pin plug. Paired with a Tesla rewireable plug on the other end, it lets a tradesperson make up or repair an extension lead to the exact length required, rather than buying a fixed-length lead.

See the connection you have made
Like its matching plug, the RS-10-TB has a transparent body, giving an instant visual check that the connections are correct and secure once the cord is wired in — a simple confidence check that a solid-coloured socket cannot offer. The terminal pin clamp screws are riveted and backed off ready for connection, so there is no fiddling before you start.

Holds the cord, takes the strain
An internal cord anchor together with an external cord grip holds the flexible cord firmly in place, taking strain off the terminals, and the 10mm cable entry accepts common flexible cord sizes. Rated 10A at 250V, the RS-10-TB is a general-purpose socket for making up or repairing extension leads. Wiring must be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with Australian requirements. Tesla Electrical Components is an Australian-based brand headquartered in Wetherill Park, NSW, and this socket is sold individually and shipped Australia-wide.
