The Tesla Large Dolly range includes both standard horizontal plate formats and vertical plate formats — the vertical versions (VLDN suffix) are designed for wall locations where a taller, narrower plate suits the space better than the conventional wide horizontal plate. Common applications include narrow wall sections beside door frames, column faces, pillar-mounted switch positions, and locations where the wall height is used for the switch placement rather than the horizontal width.

The vertical format presents the same large dolly rocker in a vertical orientation — the rocker runs top to bottom rather than side to side. The oversized dolly profile and soft touch surface remain unchanged from the horizontal LD version, maintaining the full accessible design intent of the Large Dolly range. All installation and wiring is identical to the standard horizontal format.

The SW1/VLDN is the 1 gang vertical version — one rocker, one circuit, complete assembly. A 2 gang vertical version (SW2/VLDN) is also available for two-circuit switching from one vertical plate position. An important installation note from the manufacturer: the switch mechanism in the Tesla Large Dolly range cannot be reconfigured after installation — the correct switch type must be confirmed at the time of ordering.
