The analogue dial format is familiar and easy to program — the 15-minute segment tabs around the dial face are pushed in to set ON periods and pulled out (or left in their default position) to set OFF periods, giving a clear visual indication of the programmed on/off schedule without the need for digital menus or displays.

The quartz-controlled stepper motor provides timing accuracy of ±1 second per day — far more precise than older mechanical spring-wound timers — and the 3-day power reserve battery maintains the program and clock setting for up to 3 days if the mains supply is interrupted.
