A 32A rating is a common choice for high-demand power sub-circuits – ovens, cooktops, air-conditioning and large appliance feeds – and its 6kA breaking capacity suits the fault levels found in residential and light commercial switchboards.

The C tripping characteristic trips on short circuit at 5 to 10 times rated current, the general-purpose curve suited to mixed resistive and moderately inductive loads such as motor and general-purpose circuits. Backed by a 6kA short-circuit breaking capacity to IEC 60898-1 and energy limiting class 3, the MSN132 limits let-through energy during a fault to help protect downstream cabling.

At one module (17.5mm) wide, 83mm high and 70mm deep, the MSN132 clips onto standard 35mm DIN rail with 360° mounting flexibility, and its terminals take rigid conductors up to 35mm² at 2.8Nm. It is compliant with AS/NZS 60898.1, rated IP20, and operates from -25°C to 70°C to suit meter boxes, distribution boards and homes across Australian conditions. Hager auxiliaries including the MZ201 auxiliary contact, MZ202 alarm contact and MZ203/MZ204 shunt trips are available.
