The 25mm conduit size is the next step up from 20mm, chosen when the cable count or individual cable sizes exceed what a 20mm conduit can comfortably accommodate — common in sub-circuits with multiple cables, light commercial wiring, and installations requiring a slightly larger bore for cable installation ease.

The tight radius of the standard bend keeps the conduit run close to the wall or structure at the bend point, giving a neat low-profile installation.
