Where the PSA40C Plain to Screwed Adaptor Fits

The PSA40C terminates 40mm plain rigid PVC conduit into enclosures, switchboards, and junction boxes. The 40mm conduit size is used in larger commercial and industrial wiring installations where cable counts, larger cable cross-sections, or longer conduit runs require a bore well beyond what 20mm, 25mm, or 32mm conduit can comfortably accommodate. Typical applications include main conduit runs from switchboards to distribution points, multi-cable sub-mains runs, and larger commercial installations where conduit fill requirements drive the selection of a 40mm bore.

Installation follows the same sequence as smaller PSA series adaptors: slide the adaptor over the conduit end (plain socket end first), pass the threaded end through the enclosure entry hole, thread the locknut onto the screwed end from inside the enclosure and tighten to secure. Bond the conduit end to the adaptor socket with conduit cement on the plain socket side for a permanent connection.

Smaller sizes PSA20C (20mm), PSA25C (25mm), and PSA32C (32mm) are available for smaller conduit runs. The PSA50C (50mm) is available for the largest standard conduit size. All are Rylec grey PVC with locknut included.
