The male bushing screws into the threaded conduit entry of the enclosure from the inside, while the female bushing is threaded onto the conduit end on the outside — the two parts are tightened together to clamp the panel wall between them, providing a secure, fixed conduit connection point and protecting cables from the sharp edges of the panel entry hole.
