Why it Matters
A Solid Fix in Timber-Framed Walls
In new work and renovations, wall plates need something rigid to fix to. Nailing a metal bracket to the face of the stud gives the plate a dead-flat, dead-solid mounting point, so the finished switch or outlet does not flex when someone pushes a plug in.
Locating Tabs Save Fiddling
The tabs pressed into the rear of the bracket sit against the stud and set the position for you, which means less measuring, less holding it up with one hand, and a straighter line across a run of plates.
Everything in the Pack
The nails ship with the bracket, so it goes on the wall with nothing else required – no separate box of fixings to remember on the van.
Is this bracket for a 1 gang or 2 gang plate?
It is a 2 gang bracket, sized for two-gang wall plates in horizontal orientation.
Are the fixing nails included?
Yes. The nails are supplied with the bracket, so no separate fasteners are needed.
What does front stud mount mean?
The bracket fixes to the front face of the timber stud rather than between studs, with locating tabs on the rear to position it correctly against the stud.
