The GEN3 SC440 is a 4-pin, 40A fixed surface socket outlet with round pins, rated 500V three-phase and IP66, built for outdoor, industrial and wash-down environments. The four round pins carry three phases plus earth, providing a keyed three-phase connection point for industrial equipment, and a standard single-phase flat plug cannot be connected. At 40A, it is the highest-current outlet in this three-phase socket range, suiting heavy machinery and plant. As a fixed (non-switched) outlet, it is live whenever its circuit is energised. Moulded in the Series 56 style from durable PCA18 virgin-grade plastic, it stands up to dust, water and demanding sites.

Three-Phase Connection

The SC440's four round pins carry three active phases plus earth, making it a fixed connection point for three-phase equipment rated up to 500V. The round-pin keying keeps three-phase circuits separate from single-phase ones, so a standard flat-pin plug cannot be connected by mistake, an important safeguard where both supply types are present on site.

40A for Heavy Three-Phase Loads
