The TESTVM is the standard free-to-air TV antenna mechanism in the Tesla wall plate mechanism range — providing a 75 Ohm coaxial TV connection point in a flush-mounted wall plate format. The 75 Ohm impedance matches the standard impedance of Australian TV antenna distribution systems for PAL (analogue, now discontinued) and DVB-T (digital free-to-air) television reception. Installing a TV mechanism in the wall eliminates exposed coaxial cable runs across walls and floors, presenting a clean, professional TV antenna outlet at the wall position closest to the television.

The TESTVM clips into any gang position of a compatible Tesla Classic Series, Slimline Series, or Crystal Series grid plate — the same plates used for switch mechanisms, data outlets, and other AV mechanisms. This allows a TV outlet to be combined with power points, data connections, HDMI mechanisms, or other services on the same multi-gang plate in an AV wall plate installation. The TESTVM is the white version for white plate installations; the TESTVMBLK (black) and TESTVMDS (silver/Crystal DS) variants match black and silver plate finishes respectively.
