About Fork Spade Terminals
A fork spade terminal (also called a spade terminal, fork terminal, or U-terminal) is a crimped wire end terminal with a U-shaped fork that slides onto a screw or stud terminal — allowing the terminal to be connected and disconnected without fully removing the screw. This makes fork spade terminals particularly suited to terminal blocks, DIN rail terminals, equipment screw terminals, and any application where the conductor needs to be connected securely under a screw head.
The SL5-6CS has a 6.5mm stud hole — suited to M6 screws and studs, a common stud size used in larger terminal blocks, busbars, and high-current equipment connections. At 4–6mm² and 48A, the SL5-6CS is suited to higher-current circuits including main power feeds, battery connections, and heavy-duty automotive and marine wiring. Tin-plated copper contact provides good conductivity and corrosion resistance. Yellow is the standard colour code for the 4–6mm² wire size range.
The SL5 range covers 4–6mm² conductors in stud sizes from 3mm through 6mm — select the stud size that matches the terminal block or equipment screw being used. Conforms to RoHS and is supplied by Pacific Components.
