The GPO2X combines a double power point and an independent light switch on a single standard-size plate — providing power outlet and circuit switching from one wall position without requiring a separate switch plate nearby. This is a practical solution in locations where both a power outlet and a light switch are needed at the same wall position: beside a kitchen bench where an appliance outlet and a range hood or under-bench light switch are both needed, at a bedside position where a power point and a reading light switch coexist, in a workshop or garage where a power outlet and an equipment or lighting switch are logically grouped, or in any location where combining functions on one plate saves wall space and simplifies the installation.

The extra switch is independently wired — it connects to a separate lighting or load circuit, completely independent of the two GPO outlets. Two separate cable connections are made at the plate: one for the power point circuit and one for the switched circuit. The switch is also removable — if the installation later changes and the extra switch is no longer needed, it can be removed, leaving the plate functioning as a standard double GPO.

The GPO2X is the horizontal format. The GPO2XV is the vertical format equivalent — the same combination of two GPO outlets and one extra switch, but with the plate oriented vertically (taller than wide). The GPO2X/BLK is the same product in black for dark-finish installations.
