Not every outdoor or wet area installation requires a purpose-built weatherproof power point. In many cases a standard plate is already installed — or is the preferred specification — and what's needed is a weatherproof enclosure to sit over it. The WENC solves exactly that requirement. It fits any standard size GPO or wall plate with 84mm fixing centres, recessing around the plate body and sealing the installation with a clear IP53 rated lid. The outlet or switch remains accessible through the lid when it is open, and protected when it is closed.

The lockable lid adds a practical security layer — particularly useful in shared or public access locations where preventing unauthorised use of an outlet is part of the brief. The clear polycarbonate lid allows the status of the installed plate to be checked visually without opening the enclosure, and allows indicator lights or neon indicators on the plate to remain visible. The grey PVC body is UV stable and durable for long-term outdoor use.

Three conduit entry options — top 20mm, bottom 25mm, and two rear 20mm entries — give full flexibility for the cable routing approach used in the installation. The 80mm depth accommodates a standard plate and cable connections behind it without requiring any modification to the plate or the wall. The WENC is a recessed mount — it requires a wall recess or cavity behind the plate to accommodate its 80mm depth. Confirm wall depth availability before specifying.
