Why it Matters

D-Curve for high inrush loads

The D-Curve trips at a higher multiple of rated current than a C-Curve. That tolerance suits circuits with heavy startup surges, holding firm on the inrush while still tripping fast on a genuine fault.

Type A detection for modern loads

Type A sensing detects both AC and pulsating DC earth leakage. Electronic loads and rectifier-fed equipment produce leakage that older Type AC devices can miss. Type A keeps personnel protection effective on these circuits.
